This market will resolve to “Yes” if it is discovered that the January 14 outages was caused by a hack by January 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”.

"A hack" encompasses intentional, malicious activity that caused the network outage.

The primary resolution source for this market will be official statements from the U.S. Government, Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T. However, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used to resolve this market.
